God created us in his own image and likeness to enjoy perfect relationship with him (Gen. 1:26-27). But because of our desire to live our own way, we have all rebelled against God, and our relationship with him is broken (Gen. 3:23-24; Romans 3:23). We feel this brokenness everyday of our lives. But there is good news!

From the beginning, God had a plan to send a perfect substitute who would reconcile us back to himself (Isa. 53:10-11; Acts 2:23-24; 1 Peter 3:18). This substitute is Jesus Christ. He lived the life that we should have lived and died the death that we deserved to die because of our sin. He rose from the dead to prove that he conquered sin and death and that he is the only LORD and Savior (Isa. 43:11; Phil. 2:5-11). Jesus Christ took your death so that you could have perfect life with him forever. Jesus alone is the One who makes us right with God and satisfies the deepest longings of our souls (Rom. 3:23-26; Rev.21:6-7).
